Welsh Flannel

A bespoke, full canvas, single breasted jacket with three buttons and a ticket pocket detail.

Made from a dark green Welsh flannel, woven at Melin Teifi Woollen Mill, Llandysul, Wales.

Jacket lining pattern designed and printed The Printhaus by Cardiff based artist @stickyjim76.

Made using traditional tailoring techniques and featuring a floating, hand-stitched canvas.

Fastened with olive wood buttons and hand sewn buttonholes.

To match the printed lining, magenta silk buttonhole thread used for the lapel button, the pick stitching around the inside pockets and jacket facings and one of the buttonholes on each cuff.

Melin Teifi is one of the few remaining woollen mills in Wales, specialising in traditional Welsh flannel and situated next door to the National Woollen Museum of Wales.

Teilwr bach is proud to collaborate with local artists, support small businesses and celebrate the rich heritage and History of the Welsh woollen industry.
